OKSANA LA BANDA & TANGO FATAL
29 | July | 2018 / 21:00
CORAZON DE TANGO is a tango project founded by exceptional violinist Oksana Peceny, first violin in Slovene National Theatre in Maribor. Her tango story started back in 2005 when she joined Astorpia Quintet. They performed on biggest stages in Slovenia and in some places abroad. Pianist Jan Sever was also a long-time member of Astorpia Quintet. Oksana and Jan now continue in a world of tango with a rejuvenated team of gifted classical musicians. Their wide tango repertoire is enriched by ethno music (hungarian, russian, romanian, gypsy music).
CORAZON de TANGO members are:
Oksana Peceny, violin
Oksana started her musical path in her hometown Kiev as a prodigy child. As a daughter of two excellent musicians she started showing remarkable talent and love for music and violin very early. She started her formal education in special school for gifted children in Kiev. When Oksana was eight years old Soviet Union collapsed and she moved to Maribor (Slovenia) with her family. Soon she became a local attraction. Latter came highest prizes on international competitions and many solo performances with orchestras home and abroad. Since 2013 she works as a concertmaster/first violin in Slovene National Theatre Maribor.
Jan Sever, piano
Jan Sever is a member of many musical groups and works as a professor at Conservatory of music in Ljubljana.
Andraz Frece, bandoneon/accordion

You are welcome to join us on our tango journey…may our show Corazon de Tango & Tango Fatal touch your heart and soul.
TANGO FATAL is an international Argentine tango dance company based in Trieste (Italy). The idea for Tango Fatal originated with Guillermo Berzins, a world-renowned Argentine tango dancer and choreographer, who decided to bring the magic of this passionate dance to Europe, continuing the tradition started by many illustrious predecessors who made Argentine tango well-known and loved worldwide.
The show has a big emotional impact. Thanks to skilful and innovative lighting, the sensual and mysterious porteño atmosphere comes to life on the stage, all the same maintaining an abstract, suspended in time setting. This is why it always seems up to date and contemporary and it never diverts the audience’s attention and focus from dancing, which remains the foremost element.
Dancing on the romantic and dramatic melodies of the most well-known tangos while combining rhythms from different tango ages with Argentinian folklore’s infectious energy and astounding contemporary choreography, it’s a pretty safe bet that TANGO FATAL will fascinate you!
In addition to the stage show, presently on tour in several European towns, with its ensemble of 17 performing artists, TANGO FATAL can offer customised events using various personnel meeting any need and request.
